Imperfection Is Beautiful Too

💞 *Imperfection is beautiful too !*  💖 A man found a beautiful pearl. It was very beautiful but a small flaw in it. The man thought, if he can remove the flaw, it would be the biggest and most beautiful pearl ever in his possession. He peeled off a layer to correct the flaw. The flaw was still there. He peeled off another layer, the flaw was still there. He kept on peeling off the layers until all the layers were gone. Now there was no flaw, but there was no pearl too. In this life, no one is PERFECT. Each person you meet would have some FLAW or the other. You will end up losing the person completely while trying to correct his/her flaws. So try to learn by accepting people with their flaws and you will be surrounded by beautiful people all around you... *Imperfection is beautiful too !*

A lovely poem of blessings.... As I was walking Down life's highway Many years ago I came upon a Sign that read Heavens Grocery Store.. When I got a Little closer The doors swung Open wide And when I came To myself I was standing Inside.. I saw a host of Angels. They were Standing everywhere One handed me a Basket And said 'My Child shop with care..' Everything a Human needed Was in that Grocery store And what you Could not carry You could come Back for more First I got some Patience. Love was in that Same row. Further down was Understanding, You need that Everywhere you go.. I got a box or Two of Wisdom And Faith a bag Or two. And Charity of Course I would need some Of that too.. I couldn't miss The Holy Ghost It was all over The place. And then some Strength And Courage to Help me run this race. My basket was Getting full But I remembered I needed Grace, And then I chose Salvation for ...

Interesting Story and Lesson on Two Seas - Dead Sea & Sea Of Galilee

*Here is an interesting story on two seas with some interesting lessons.* I had heard of Dead Sea in school. No one ever told me this side of the story. You may find it interesting. I look forward to your perspective. A tale of Two Seas   Sitting in the Geography class in school, I remember how fascinated I was when we were being taught all about the Dead Sea. As you probably recall, the Dead Sea is really a Lake, not a sea (and as my Geography teacher pointed out, if you understood that, it would guarantee 4 marks in the term paper!) It’s so high in salt content that the human body can float easily. You can almost lie down and read a book! The salt in the Dead Sea is as high as 35% - almost 10 times the normal ocean water. And all that saltiness has meant that there is no life at all in the Dead Sea. No fish. No vegetation. No sea animals. *Nothing lives in the Dead Sea.* And hence the name: Dead Sea. While the Dead Sea has remained etched in my memory, I don't seem to ...

East Berlin and West Berlin - Inspirational story

Loved this: Back in the days when Germany was divided, a huge wall separated East and West Berlin.   One day, some people in East Berlin took a truck load of garbage and dumped it on the West Berlin side.🙄  The people of West Berlin could have done the same thing, but they didn't. Instead they took a truck load of canned goods, bread, milk and other provisions, and neatly stacked it on the East Berlin side.☺  On top of this stack they placed the sign:   *“EACH GIVES WHAT HE HAS"*  How very true! You can only give what you have.  What do you have inside of you? Is it hate or love?  Violence or peace?  Death or life? Capacity to build or Capacity to destroy?  What have you acquired over the years?  *"EACH GIVES WHAT HE HAS"*  Think about it!☺

Inspirational and Motivational Story of Bread And Butter

It takes a warm slice of bread to soak in the butter put on it. It doesn't matter how much butter we put, but if the bread is cold the butter will stay on the surface only. Bite into it and you will see how different the two taste! It is the same bread and same butter but a world of difference in taste. And so is it with the 'blessings' in our life. It doesn't matter how abundantly HE blesses us, but if we are not gracious in our acceptance, how can those blessings ever make a change in our lives? Pretty much like the layer of butter on cold bread, blessings not graciously and wholeheartedly embraced continue to remain on the periphery and fail to make any positive change in life. Acknowledge your blessings. Accept with gratitude. Keep your bread warm. Let the butter soak in. Bathed in the richness of this butter, every bite, every morsel then is bound to taste divine. List ur blessings though countless, you have a lot to be thankful and grateful for

An Inspirational story of Snake

An Inspirational  story of Snak e A snake penetrated int3 a carpentry workshop.  As it slipped, it passed over a saw and got slightly wounded. Suddenly, it turned and bit the saw, and biting the saw, the snake seriously got wounded in its mouth! Then not understanding what was happening and thinking that the saw was attacking "him," it decided to roll around the saw to suffocate it with all its body by squeezing it with all its strength, but it ended up being killed by the saw!!! *Sometimes we react in anger to hurt those who have harmed us, but we realize after all that we are being hurt ourselves*. *In life it is better sometimes to ignore situations, ignore people, ignore their behaviors, their words.* *Sometimes it is better not to react so as not to suffer consequences that can sometimes be deadly or harmful.* *Do not let hate take over your life because love is stronger than anything.* Be wise and live healthy. God bless! Love your self & love others.😊...

An Interesting Read

AN INTERESTING READ A girl by name Fatima went to school in the neighbouring village where she wasn't known well. For three weeks, she came to school late and every time the teacher punished her. On the fourth week, Fatima didn't attend school at all and many thought she had *GIVEN UP* on school due to the everyday punishment. However, Fatima reported again on fifth week and this time she came earlier than everybody. When the teacher came to class, Fatima was punished for not attending school the previous week but the teacher was also kind enough to commend her for coming early that day, stating that the punishments had finally yielded some results. Just then, Fatima asked if she could say something and the teacher gave her permission. *She started :* _"I've been raised up by a single mother without a brother or a sister. Five weeks ago, my mother fell ill and was hospitalized. The three weeks I came late, I had to prepare something for her every morni...

To bow or not to bow....Short story about the value of asking question

To bow or not to bow……….? A story about the value of asking questions - from the book "Hello? Is anybody there?" written by Jostein Gaarder: (Mika is an alien on his first visit to planet Earth) ”You can eat an apple”, I said and gave him the green fruit. It was as if he had seen an apple for the first time. First he just held it there and smelled it, but then he took a little bite. ”Mum - mum”, he said and took a bigger bite. ”Did it taste good?” I asked. He bowed deeply. I wanted to know how an apple tastes the very first time you taste it, so I asked again: ”How did it taste?” He bowed and bowed. ”Why do you bow?” I asked. Mika bowed again. It made me feel so confused, that I hurried to ask the question again. ”Why do you bow?” Now it was him who became confused. I think he did not know if he should bow again or just answer. ”Where I come from we always bow, when someone asks an interesting question” he explained – ”and the deeper the question, the deepe...

The Clever Fox-Short Story for Kids

There once lived a crow. One day he was very hungry. He had not been able to get any food the previous day. “If I do not get anything to eat I will starve to death," he thought.  As the crow was searching for food, his eyes fell on a piece of bread. He quickly swooped down, picked it up and flew off. Far away in a lonely place he sat on a tree to enjoy the bread.  Just then a hungry fox saw the crow sitting on the tree holding the bread in his mouth. “Yummy! That bread looks delicious. What I would give to get that piece of bread," the fox thought.  The fox decided to use all his cunning means to get the piece of bread from the mouth of the crow. He sat under the tree. The crow saw him and thought, “I guess this fox wants to eat my bread. I shall hold it carefully." And he held on to the bread even more tightly.  The clever fox spoke to the crow politely. He said, “Hello friend! How are you?" But the crow did not say anything.  “Crows are such lovely birds. An...

Story of The Hare and The Tortoise

The Hare and The tortoise There once was a speedy Hare who bragged about how fast he could run. Tired of hearing him boast, the Tortoise challenged him to a race. All the animals in the forest gathered to watch. The Hare ran down the road for a while and then paused to rest. He looked back at the tortoise and cried out, "How do you expect to win this race when you are walking along at your slow, slow pace?" The Hare stretched himself out alongside the road and fell asleep, thinking, "There is plenty of time to relax." The Tortoise walked and walked, never ever stopping until he came to the finish line. The animals who were watching cheered so loudly for Tortoise that they woke up the Hare. The Hare stretched, yawned and began to run again, but it was too late. Tortoise had already crossed the finish line. Moral: Slow and steady wins the race.

Are you Hurt-Inspirational Story

Are you Hurt? On his first day in office as President, when Abraham Lincoln entered to give his inaugural address, one man stood up. He was a rich Aristocrat. He said, “Mr. Lincoln, you should not forget that your father used to make shoes for my family.” And the whole Senate laughed; they thought they had made a fool of Lincoln. But certain people are made of a totally different mettle. Lincoln looked at the man directly in the eye and said, “Sir, I know that my father used to make shoes for your family, and there will be many others here. Because he made shoes the way nobody else can, he was a creator. His shoes were not just shoes; he poured his whole soul into them. I want to ask you, have you any complaint? Because I know how to make shoes myself. If you have any complaint  I can make you another pair of shoes. But as far as I know, nobody has ever complained about my father’s shoes. He was a genius, a great creator and I am proud of my father”. The whole Senate was ...

Story of The Lion and the Mouse- Short Story for Kids

The Lion and the Mouse Once when a lion, the king of the jungle, was asleep, a little mouse began running up and down on him. This soon awakened the lion, who placed his huge paw on the mouse, and opened his big jaws to swallow him. "Sorry, O King!" cried the little mouse. "Forgive me this time. I shall never repeat it and I shall never forget your kindness. And who knows, I may be able to do you a good turn one of these days!” The lion was so tickled by the idea of the mouse being able to help him that he lifted his paw and let him go. After few days, a few hunters captured the lion, and tied him to a tree. After that they went in search of a wagon, to take him to the zoo. Just then the little mouse happened to pass by. And thus the lion was saved MORAL: Small acts...

What is a Story

A  short story  is a piece of prose fict ion  that can be read in one sitting. Emerging from earlier oral  storytelling  traditions in the 17th century, the short story has grown to encompass a body of work so diverse as to defy easy characterization. At its most prototypical the short story features a small cast of named characters, and focuses on a self-contained incident with the intent of evoking a "single effect" or mood. In doing so, short stories make use of plot, resonance, and other dynamic components to a far greater degree than is typical of an  anecdote , yet to a far lesser degree than a  novel . While the short story is largely distinct from the novel, authors of both generally draw from a common pool of  literary techniques .
